Donald E. Blank

Donald E. Blank, age 94, died July 6, 2022 at his residence following a long illness.

He was born November 27, 1927 in Irondequoit to Albert and Lillian (Pfrommer) Blank.  He was a member of the United States Army and served during WWII.  Don was a former member of Disciples United Church, and enjoyed gardening, cutting wood and enjoyed being a gentlemen farmer.  Mr. Blank was predeceased by his first wife, Eleanor, brothers: Robert and William Blank, sisters: Rosemarie Codori, Dorothy Gosnell and Ruth Wolf.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joanne, his children: Edwin (Nancy) Blank of Barre, Judy Birch of CA, Carl (Sandra) Blank of Clarendon, brother Albert Blank Jr., grandchildren: Teresa and Justin, great grandchildren: Nathan, Emily, Anna, and Owen as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.  Private service and interment in Hillside Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.  Donald’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home of Holley.  To share a special memory of Donald, please visit: www.mitchellfamilyfuneralhomes.com
