Alan A. Swanson

Obituary of Alan A. Swanson (OAKFIELD) Alan A. Swanson, age 71, died May 21, 2021 in Strong Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was born December 22, 1949 in Rochester and had lived in this area for a greater part of his life. Alan and his late wife Alice we co-owners of a retail gift shop for several years in MI. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing with his friend Dan, and fishing with his grandson Logan. He especially enjoyed watching all three of his grandsons play hockey. Alan loved watching birds, in particular owls and also was an animal lover. He was in awe of nature and loved being outdoors. Mr. Swanson was predeceased by his wife Alice and his brother Bret. He is survived by his daughter: Amanda (Greg) Narburgh of Oakfield and his three grandsons: Greg Jr., Logan and Landon. There will be no calling hours. A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Lakeview Cemetery.
