It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amanda L. Kamae, who left this world on September 29, 2025. Born on August 8, 1988, in Albion, New York, Amanda graced our lives for 37 years with her spirited presence and infectious enthusiasm.
A resident of Lockport, NY, Amanda was known for her extraordinary skills and dedication as a welder at Alleghany Manufacturing. She contributed her unique talents to her workplace and held a deep passion for hands-on mechanical projects, especially those involving trucks and motorcycles.
Amanda's vibrant life was shared with her beloved children, Anthony and Emma, who will carry forward her legacy of strength and resilience. She is also survived by her loving partner, Matt Hix, and his son, Travis, who held a special place in her heart. Her parents, Richard (Karen) DePoty of Middleport, NY, and Danielle McAllister of West Virginia, remember Amanda's youthful energy and zest for life. Amanda's siblings, Crystal DePoty and Allesha DePoty of Silver Creek, will forever cherish their bond. She also leaves behind numerous cousins who hold fond memories of family gatherings filled with laughter and love.
Amanda was an enthusiastic outdoorswoman, finding joy in shooting and hunting. A former member and past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Wilson Conservation Club, she passionately supported the club's activities and community involvement. Her love for nature and mechanical challenges defined her active lifestyle.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at The Vine Church in Medina, NY. Family, friends, and those whose lives Amanda touched are invited to join in remembering the joy and warmth she brought to every moment.
Amanda's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home of Gasport, who have respectfully and thoughtfully ensured her final farewell respects her wishes and honors her spirit.
Amanda L. Kamae will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her and witnessed the light she brought into their lives. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the memory of her laughter, kindness, and the passion with which she lived. She lives on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her dearly.
