Arlene Gayl Rice

Gasport: Arlene “Gayl” Rice, age 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 26, 2022. She was born March 13, 1944 in Lakeland, FL to the late John and Doris (Cochran) Farrington.

Arlene worked for over 27 years at Harrison Radiator before retiring. Photography was something she had a passion for and took thousands of photos over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and at her cabin in Canisteo, NY. The cabin was a place she and her family spent countless time at and shared many great memories.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her 1st husband, Clifford Soles, 2nd husband, Ronald Rice, sister, Carol, brother, John and her beloved dog, Bandit.

Arlene is survived by her sons, Steven (Lori) Soles, Eric (Heather) Soles, Brian Rice, grandchildren, Brooke, Nick, Hunter, Mason, Andrew, Maria, great-granddaughter, Malia Arlene, and sister-in-law, Donna Rice.

The family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St. Gasport, NY 14067 on Saturday, April 30th from 10:00-1:00 where a brief time of sharing will be held at the conclusion of calling hours.

Memorial contributions in Arlene’s name may be made to a veteran organization of your choice or the Niagara County SPCA  2100 Lockport Road Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
