Washbon, Austin Michael, of Lockport, New York, unexpectedly went to join our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday, October 11th, 2025 after a brief illness.
Austin was born on July 25th, 1995 in Newfane, New York to his mother, Kristine Washbon. As a child, Austin was full of life. He was always on the go and always into something. He loved riding his bike, skateboarding with his friends, and just hanging out with family. He was always very outgoing.
Austin was always a hard worker. He was a man of all trades. He worked as a concrete laborer, a roofer, and even a general contractor for whoever was in need. He loved working with his hands. His last place of employment was with his brother-in-law at A-List Roofing. Even at times when he struggled, he would shovel driveways or do whatever was needed just to earn his own money. He was always so proud of the work he accomplished no matter what is was.
Austin was the comedian in our family. He would constantly make jokes and do silly things to make everyone laugh. He had a smart mouth all of his life, but it was him. He had an incredible smile that would just light up the room. His jokes and his laughter are one thing that all of us will truly miss. He was the most empathetic and compassionate person that you would ever meet. He would help anyone who needed it in any way he could. He always put others before himself. We all know that he had his own personal struggles, but he had turned his life around. He was so proud of himself and we all are so proud of him as well. If you knew Austin, then you are one of the lucky ones because he truly was an amazing person. He loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He will forever be in our hearts. Fly high, our precious boy, until we meet again.
Austin is survived by his mother, Kristine Washbon, of Albion, New York; maternal Grandparents, Lawrence and Jennifer Washbon, of Medina, New York; Great Uncle, Rodney (Lori) Recore, of Gasport, New York; Uncle Larry (Ellen) Washbon, of Hamlin, New York; Aunt Paula Washbon, of Medina, New York; Aunt Kelly Gibson, of Medina, New York; Sister Alyssa (Cody) Washbon, of Gasport, New York; Sister Catherine (Mike) Heal, of Barker, New York; Sister Krystle Mead, of Socorro, New Mexico; Brothers Dylan Gibson and Alex Gibson, of Florida; Several nieces and nephews, KaliRaine, O'Conner, Hutson, CharleeAnn, Melanie, and Michael.
