Barbara M. Smith, age 79, died unexpectedly April 30, 2026 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. She was born August 8, 1946 in Buffalo to James and Anna Lenz and had lived in this area all of her life.
Barbara enjoyed gardening, golf and caring about people. She was family oriented who had strong beliefs and was a very opinionated woman. Barbara was an avid Buffalo Bandits fan and held season tickets for over 20 years. She also was a Buffalo Bills fan but, the Bandits were her passion.
She is survived by her husband of 0ver 20 years Robert, her daughters: Stacy Schiavone, Theresa (Eric) Koch, her step-children: Lisa Costa, Kelly Vilardo, Sean Smith, Aaron Smith, Scott Smith, her sister: Judy Wesolowski, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours and private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Barbara's arrangements have been entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home of Gasport.
