Bonita L. "Bonnie" Gekoski, died unexpectedly February 12, 2026, at the age of 79. Bonnie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose generous spirit and vibrant presence enriched countless lives.

Born on January 11, 1947, Bonnie's life was a testament to dedication, community service, and a profound love for animals. She was a valued member of the Kendall United Methodist Church and dedicated 25+ years to the Kendall Volunteer Fire Department. Her compassion extended to her professional life as well, where she served as a Home Health Care Aide and worked as a CNA at the former Lakeside Beikirch Nursing Home in Brockport. Bonnie also touched many young lives during her time as a Cafeteria Aide at Holley High School and was an employee at Howard’s Express Trucking Co. She also ran and cut meat at Cleveland's Meat Market in Holley, a cherished family business begun by her parents. Her legacy of love, service, and dedication will remain in our hearts forever.

Bonnie was a true lover of animals, dedicating much of her time to training, riding, and showing horses. Her love for creatures great and small was evident to all who knew her. She was a woman who gave endlessly to those around her, and her absence will be deeply felt.

Bonnie is survived by her loving children Ed (Lisa) Kennedy of Kent, Colleen Davidson of Kendall, Ronald (Alyssa) Kennedy of Holley, and Jerry (Missy) Kennedy of Kent. Her legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a multitude of friends including her best friend: Colleen (Lanny) Northrup, who all feel blessed to have known her. Bonnie was predeceased by her husbands, Steve Brown, Ronald Kennedy, and Walter "Wally" Gekoski, her step-son Bradley Kennedy, and her brother Buddy Cleveland.
