Calvin B Maines, Sr.

(Albion) Calvin B. "Cal" Maines, Sr. age 81, passed away peacefully, August 7, 2026. He was born February 16, 1945 in Clearfield PA, a son of the late Calvin Grant and Luella Elizabeth (Mason) Maines.

Cal served in the US Army from 1962-1965 and then moved on to work at Eastman Kodak, finishing his career at Loomis Fargo. Calvin was a loving husband, father, and pappy, as well as the eldest brother to 11 siblings.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Marcine Maines, Barbara Bertoti.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen whom he married on February 19, 1966; his children Calvin B. (Renie) Maines Jr, Tammy K. (Phil) Gilebarto, James A. Maines; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers Theodore (Linda) Maines, Philip (Karen) Maines, Michael ( the late Hazel) Maines, Keith (Debbie) Maines; sisters Susan (Robert) Linn, Janice (Glen) Linn, Lois (Tom) Connor, Rochelle (Mark) Laird, Karen (Raymond) Yetter as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, 21 W. Ave. Albion Saturday August 29th 1:00pm-3:00pm where his Memorial Service will follow. Interment with Military Honors will be at the Dales Cemetery in Shiloh, PA at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Orleans County Veterans Service Agency, 13996 Route 31 West, Albion, NY 14411.
