Carl J. Catracchia, 75, of Kent, NY, entered into rest on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Born December 20, 1949 in Rochester, he was a son of the late Carl J. and Yolanda M. (Agulia) Catracchia. Carl graduated from Arcadia High School and went on to serve his country in Vietnam. Carl served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968-1970. Wounded in combat, he was awarded a Purple Heart for his sacrifice for our nation. Returning home, he married the former Cynthia Wiegele and together raised four children. Carl was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. In 1979 he founded the Old Crow Motorcycle Club, serving as president of the club for 40 years. Carl enjoyed fundraising through the club to help disabled and underprivileged children. He was a firm believer in the therapeutic quality of a bike ride. Carl volunteered with Boy Scouting and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, Carl was predeceased by an infant grandson, Carl J. Catracchia III; and two brothers, Matthew Catracchia and Stephen Catracchia.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Cindy Catracchia of Kent; four children, Wendy Eden, Carl J. Catracchia II, Nancy Dowe (Corey) and Jesse Catracchia all of Kendall; ten grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Kasey, Katie, Roslyn, Colton, Kailey, Chase, Jesse and Raelynn; two great-grandchildren, Gunner and Lilly; three sisters, Cindy Lott, Nadine (Gerald) Davis and Laura Catracchia; sisters in-law, Donna Catracchia and Marilou Catracchia; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 29 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 16650 St. Rt. 31, Holley. His graveside service with full military honors will immediately follow in Sandy Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at www.t2t.org
