Carol Eleanor Miller

Carol E. (Neilans) Miller, age 73 died July 6, 2026 after a five plus year battle with a multitude of health issues, Carol ultimately succumbed to stage four pancreatic cancer and died at home, surrounded with love by family and friends. She was born October 10, 1952 in Albion to John and Alberta (Kleinfelder) Neilans and was a life-long resident of this area.

Carol had a long and admirable career working for Orleans County where she was the Director of Orleans County Job Development. To put it mildly, she was an avid reader, and a stack of books was never far from her reach. She was a woman who loved being a mother and grandmother and was always there to help anyone in the family when needed. Her grace, love and kindness will never be forgotten. Mrs. Miller was predeceased by her husband Lynn Miller and her son Michael Miller.

She is survived by her son: Daniel Miller, her grandchildren: Gaven and Kayli, her siblings: John (Marilyn) Neilans, James, (Anne) Neilans, Peter Neilans as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Albion First Baptist Church, corner of West Park and Liberty St., Albion, NY, 14411 on MONDAY JULY 20, 2026 from 10am-12pm. Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the church immediately following visitation beginning at 12 noon. Interment will be held privately in Mount Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: The Hoag Library, 134 S. Main Street, Albion, NY, 14411. Carol's arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home of Albion.
