Carol Pilon (McKenna), 80, of Albion, NY, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Carol was born on August 16, 1945, to Alan and Dorothy McKenna. In March of this year, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick Pilon, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and family.
Carol was a devout Catholic who lived her faith every day. She was deeply involved in her parish as a Eucharistic minister, altar server, catechist, and director of religious education. She faithfully visited hospitals and nursing homes to bring the Eucharist to those who could not attend Mass, offering not just the Sacrament but also comfort and companionship.
In addition to her work in the home, Carol was a driving force at Pilon Construction Co., Inc., where she worked administratively and served as Vice President, helping guide the family business with dedication and integrity.
Above all, Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends — hosting large Sunday dinners, coaching softball, sharing ice cream trips with Fred and the kids, and creating a home where everyone felt welcome. Carol’s life was a testament to love, sacrifice, and faith. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion to God and to her family that will live on through all who were blessed to know her.
Carol is survived by her six children: Julie (Robert) Gibbs, Kevin (Elizabeth) Pilon, Karen (Christopher) Kinter, Stephanie Pilon, Jason (Melissa) Pilon, and Spencer Pilon, “the favorite.” Through God’s grace, her children blessed her with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought joy and light to her life. She is also survived by her siblings Phillip (Patricia) McKenna, Judy (Gerry) Suhr, and Joanie (Mark) Klafehn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her infant daughter Lisa, and siblings John McKenna, Alan McKenna Jr., and Susan (Gary) Kingsbury
