Charlie Mae McNeil

Charlie Mae McNeil, age 79, passed away February 23, 2026. She was born September 21, 1946 in Palmetto, FL to the late Charles and Lillie Mae (Dunbar) Hannah.

Charlie Mae was known for her cooking and previously worked as a cook at the Villages of Orleans. Charlie Mae loved the color red and always wanted to learn how to play piano. She also worked at Owen’s Illinois and Fisher Price for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Henry, children Angela McNeil, Marie McNeil, Kenneth McNeil, and Christopher McNeal, as well as siblings Raymond Hannah, Tommy Lee Gardner, Rosemary Hunt, Jeanette Hannah, and Irene Gardner.

Charlie Mae is survived by her daughter Penny Blake, sisters Brenda Taylor, Joyce Bedward, honorary brother and sister, Freddie Gardner and Ruth Ann Scurry, honorary grandson Josh Jackson, grandchildren and great grandchildren, LaTonya Long, Techelle McNeil, Colby Ellis, Kenneth McNeil Jr., Derrick McNeil, Emmanuel Thompson, Tyquesha Jackson, Shomari Howard, Jada Long, Charlie Phelps, Gionna Lundy, Kassidy McNeil, Derrick McNeil Jr., Carmelo Lundy, Ava Ellis as well as many other dear family members and cousins.

Charlie Mae's family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Saturday, March 21st from 10:00am-11:00am. Her memorial service will be held at 11:00am with interment to follow at Mt. Albion Cemetery.
