Cheryl "Sheri" D. Bolton, age 75 of Lockport, passed away peacefully in her home on August 10, 2026.

Born in Lockport on January 11, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Phyllis P. (Weaver) Bassler. Sheri graduated from Newfane High School, Class of 1969.

An avid lover of nature, Sheri could be found on Glenwood Lake, the Finger Lakes or Lake Ontario with her husband David, her children and grandchildren. Sheri also loved camping with her family. She enjoyed spending quality time with her friends and family. Sheri liked making jewelry, embroidering and collecting dragons. She was a lifelong supporter of various humanitarian groups.

In addition to her parents, Sheri was predeceased by her husband, David A. Bolton; her son, Michael Bolton; sister, Bonnie Gimmey; brother, Kenneth Bassler; niece, Michelle Gimmey; and her beloved cat, Chang.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather (Tony) Bolton-Ark; grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Alexander and Ashton Ark; a nephew who was her second son, Matthew (Karen) Gimmey; and great-niece, Brianna Lockhart.

To honor Sheri's wishes, there will be no formal services held at this time. A celebration of Sheri and David's lives will be held at Golden Hill State Park at the boat launch in September. Details will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St., Gasport.
