Daniel R. Meehan

(Middleport) Daniel R. Meehan age 86, passed away February 10, 2025, at the NYS Veterans Home at Batavia. He was born March 6, 1938 in Niagara Falls, a son of the late John and Doris “Dot” Meehan and had lived in this area most of his life.

Dan served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the NRA.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Carol and his brother John.

Dan is survived by his children Robert (Joni) Meehan, Melissa (Michael) John, Francis (Khola) Meehan; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St. Middleport, Tuesday February 18th 6:00pm-8:00pm. Military Honors will be held Wednesday at 11:00am at the WNY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Rd., Corfu NY 14036. Memorials may be made to the NYS Veterans Home at Batavia, 220 Richmond Ave., Batavia NY 14020.
