Daniel Joseph John Moran

Daniel J. Moran, 73, of Gasport, New York, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. He was happiest when he was working with his hands, fixing something, building something, fishing, BBQs on 4th of July or just family time in the yard. His kindness, his sense of humor, his steady presence, and the example he set will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dan was the beloved husband of Dyann (Pohl) Moran for 46 years. He is also survived by his children, Heather (Mike) Fura, Jessica (Jeremy) Hinkal, and Brett (Erin) Moran. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jason Moran; mother, Laura (Conk) Moran and brother Mark Moran. Dan also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Dyann McLaughlin, Lacey (Sarah Blount) McLaughlin, Sarah (Rob Hernandez) McLaughlin, Grace McLaughlin, Gabriel Moran, Zachary Moran, and Abigail Moran, as well as his three beloved great-granddaughters, Liliana Nye, Isabel Nye, and Savannah Cogar.

He is also survived by three sisters, Linda (Tim) Phillips, Karen (Edwin) Yowell, Susan Moran, and a brother, Burt (Sharon) Moran as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dan’s life on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home 4521 Main St. Gasport, NY 14067, with a service afterwards. Donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516
