Donald C. Powley

Donald C. Powley, 61, of Albion, passed away at Buffalo General Hospital on January 11, 2026 with his wife by his side.

Born on November 15, 1964, in Albion, NY, he was the son of the late Terry & Jane (Balfour) Powley.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Michele (Palmer) Powley, brother Jason Powley, father-in-law, Howard Palmer, nephew, Michael Powley and nieces Amanda, Ruth, and Hope. Also by his furry friends, Fluff, Toes, and B.B.

He was also predeceased by his brother, Mark Powley; Mother-in-law, Marcia Palmer; and brother-in-law, Philip Palmer.

Donald graduated from Albion High School in 1983. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, drag racing, NASCAR, engine building, and classic cars. Donald liked machinery and mechanics and he could fix anything. Donald was employed at Phinney Tool and Die in Medina, NY for 35 years as a Tool & Die Maker and traveled the world through his job.

It was in high school that Donald met the love of his life, Michele. They were married on June 8, 1985 and began their inseparable journey through life. Donald will be remembered for his infectious smile that lit up a room, his humor, kindness, and generosity. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Donald’s family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Thursday, January 15th from 4 to 7 p.m. where his Funeral Service will follow at 7 p.m. His burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Albion Cemetery.
