Evana R. Daniels, age 82, died unexpectedly in her home August 17, 2026. She was born January 9, 1944 in Albion to Samuel and Frances (Manzella) Lupo and was a life-long resident of this area.
Faith was always at the center of her life. She was a former member of both St. Mary's Assumption and St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Albion where she volunteered in numerous ways including being a eucharistic minister, a religious education teacher, a member of the folk group, a member of the Ladies of Charity and she helped to decorate the church for holidays. Most recently,
Evana was a member of The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Brockport. She owned and operated Country Garden Bridal Florist and then was the former Development and Education Director for Hospice of Orleans. Following her work in that position, she continued to volunteer many hours for Hospice. Evana loved to cook, bake and garden. She loved her grandchildren and they adored her. She hosted countless family dinners and enjoyed/loved entertaining family and friends for special occasions and for just getting together. She always made sure there was never a shortage of food or drink at her gatherings.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Francis "Butch" Daniels, her children: Marc (Carolyn) Daniels of Webster, Michael (Jennifer) Daniels of TX, Mary (Garrett) Knaak of Albion, Elizabeth (Kevin) Pilon of Clarendon, her grandchildren: Adam, Ella, Sarah, Maya, Brody, Bailey, and her brother Tom Lupo of Lockport.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Avenue-Albion, MONDAY 8/24/26 from 4-7pm. Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial in The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 152 Main Street-Brockport on TUESDAY 8/25 beginning at 11am. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
