(Kent) Frank Stanley “Killer” Gibson age 77, passed away July 18, 2025 at his daughter’s home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 17, 1947, on the Six Nations Indian Reservation in Ohsweken, Ontario, a son of the late Stanley Gibson and Flora Isaacs.
Frank was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps (Semper Fi) and fought proudly for his country on two tours in the Vietnam War. Serving in the India Second Battalion, second platoon 3-1, 3blt First Marine Division.
Frank worked for many years at General Motors in Rochester until retirement and then re-joined the workforce at Lynn Oaken farms until his second retirement. Frank loved spending time with family and friends sharing stories and laughing around a campfire. Frank spent many years camping with loved ones and creating a lifetime of memories. Frank was also a connoisseur of fine cuisine and loved critiquing the ones cooking for him. Frank spent many miles traveling to cheer on his grandkids for their various activities. Frank held a special place in his heart for the game of lacrosse and cheering on his grandsons. Frank loved spending countless hours yelling at the Tv over the years in a love hate relationship with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Franks most cherished role has been grandpa.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Carolyn; and siblings Clara Gibson, Anderson Gibson and Jim Gibson.
Frank is survived by his children Allen “Sunbeam” (Becki) Gibson, Frankie “Bobo” (Julia) Gibson, Alana (Jeff) McDonald, Max ;grandchildren Blake, Karlee, Tyler, Trevor, Lexi, Abby, Ally, Alex, Alison; great-grandsons Rowan and Jude; great granddaughter and best friend Flora Ann.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, 21 W. Ave. Albion on Tuesday July 22nd 5:00pm-8:00pm where his Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 11:00am
Burial will be in WNY National Cemetery, Corfu NY.
In lieu of flowers donations be made to the Woodland Cultural Centre in Brantford, Ontario
