Isabel K. Swan

Obituary of Isabel K. Swan (GASPORT/MIDDLEPORT) Isabel K. (Chambers) Swan, age 94, passed away March 2, 2021 with her children by her side following a brief illness. She was born March 16, 1926 in Rochester to Joseph and Kathleen (Cooper) Chambers. Izzy graduated from Nazareth Academy in 1943. She worked as the Greece Town hall secretary. She was a member of Covenant United Church of Christ in Gasport. Izzy loved to travel, enjoyed wintering in Zaphyrhills, FL for over 33 years with her husband, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She had many friends, and was the life of the party. She lived life to the fullest. She truly was a beautiful lady. Mrs. Swan was predeceased by her husband Gerald of 58 years this past January. She was also predeceased by her brother Norman Chambers; her sisters, Frances Stiffler and Treva Seils. She is survived by her children, Christine (Jack) Rising of Middleport, William “Mickey” (Laura) Dayton Jr. of KY; seven grandchildren, Kelsey, Rachel, Brian, Susan, Shasta, Mary, and Zachary; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant United Church of Christ, 4449 Main St., Gasport, NY, 14067.
