James A. Akers

Ransomville: James A. Akers, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on December 6, 2025 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was born April 22, 1974 in Brockport a son of Warren and Gail (Bedard) Akers,

James was really a spitfire. Kept everyone on their toes. He really enjoyed the movie Wicked, Wizard of Oz, and the Titanic. He also enjoyed his Harry Potter Legos. He loved anything to do is crafting always making somebody something.

Besides his father, James was predeceased by his siblings John and Lois.

James is survived by his life partner, Arnold Hallifax, mother Gail Akers, siblings Melissa Guyett, Linda (Kevin) Secore, Marlow (Karen) Akers, Gene (Sunny) Akers, Ricky Akers, Louellen Carroll, Lisa Runyon, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration for James will be held at the Niagara Falls American Legion Post #0381, 923 Niagara Ave. Niagara Falls, NY 14305 on Saturday, December 13th from 12:00-5:00.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.

James' arrangements have been entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home of Gasport, NY.
