James L. Hollenbeck

July 15, 1964 — December 18, 2023

James L. Hollenbeck entered into rest on December 18, 2023, at ECMC.  Jim was born in Lockport to Donald and Mary Ann (Moore) Hollenbeck on July 15, 1964.

Jim was raised in the Town of Royalton on Hollenbeck Rd.  He is now reunited with his dad and cherished mom as well as his beloved nephew, Louis.

Jim was retired but was an extremely talented Heavy Equipment Operator.  He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 17.  He loved fast cars.  He made his childhood dream come true just a few years ago with the purchase of a Dodge Hellcat.  He was so proud of that car.

Jim is survived by his much-loved Uncle Ken and Aunt Janet Hollenbeck of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.  Jim is also survived by his brother, Carl of Gasport.  He will be missed deeply by his small circle of friends, who he considered his family.  He always ended a conversation by saying “bless you,” “love you” or just a “thank you” for always being there for him.  He had a love of God and love of family and friends.

There will be no prior visitation.  A private graveside service will be held in the spring.

Jim's arrangements have been entrusted to the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home of Middleport, NY.
