(Kent) James E. “Jim” Keller age 91, passed away unexpectedly December 15, 2025 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston. He was born December 18, 1933 in Rochester, a son of the late Elmer and Mary (Waterstraw) Keller and had lived in this area for most of his life.
Jim served in the US Navy from 1956-1958. He was a lifetime member of the Carlton Fire Department. He worked for Kodak retiring in 1991 and after his retirement he drove bus for Albion and Kendall School District until 2020. Jim enjoyed playing cards, model cars and collecting coins. He and his wife loved to travel and camp, especially in Florida and Texas where they spent the winter months for over 30 years.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Elmer Harold Keller.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Marlene; children Timothy (Kelley) Keller, Daniel (Josie) Keller, Kim (Dale) Niehaus, Christopher (Jennie) Keller; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Joanne Keller as well as several nieces and nephews.
There are no prior calling hours. His Celebration of Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family at a date to be announced. Arrangements were entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Albion. Memorials may be made to the Carlton Fire Department, 14341 Waterport Carlton Road, Albion NY 14411.
