Jerome C. Wilson

(ALBION)  Jerome C Wilson, age 78, died October 28, 2026 peacefully in his home after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 17, 1948 In Elmira, NY to John and Margaret (Sechrist) Wilson and has lived in Albion since 1962. Jerome was the former owner of Archer Lumber, Inc. Following the closure of the lumber yard he continued working as a self employed wood worker and carpenter. He enjoyed motor sports, especially NASCAR. Jerome enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending winters in Florida.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Rosemary, who was the love of his life, his children Kyle (Justyne) Wilson of Buffalo, Laura (Ron) Standish of Kent, his brother: James (Joan) Wilson of Dundee, and his three grandchildren: Brayden, Gavin and Sariyah

Jerome was a man who was always there for his family whether someone needed a ride, something repaired or a helping hand. His children and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart and he showed that love by always being there when they needed him. One of the greatest things Jerome built was not made of wood, it was the love, memories and strong family bonds he leaves behind. His family always knew they could count on him. Although he is no longer here to lend a hand, his love will remain in every memory, every lesson he taught, and every life he touched.

There will be no calling hours and a private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, 14080 Route 31, Albion NY 14411. Jerome's arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes of Albion.
