Joan Margaret Salisbury (Dries), age 94, passed into eternal life on June 18th 2025 at Elderwood of Brockport Nursing Home.
She was born on December 29th, 1930, the only child of the late Sam and Anna Dries of Brockport.
She will be laid to rest with her late husband and deep love of her life; George “Duffer” Salisbury in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
She is survived by her children: Richard Vanderlaan, Gary (Michele) Vanderlaan, Michele Salisbury-Rankin, her loving daughter-in-law: Karen Conn, her grandchildren: Shannon and Derek Vanderlaan, Anna and Grayson Rankin and a special friend: Michael along with many others.
Joan had a very long hard-working career with Bernzomatic in Medina and after retirement with Rides Unlimited.
The “Little Ninja” lived by working hard and playing hard! She brought the party to Elderwood and became a blessing to all the residents and staff who so loved and enjoyed her. The facility feels such a deep loss as she participated and loved all the residents’ festivities. We will all miss her wonderful spirit.
