John J. Lutz

John J. Lutz, age 84, died June 28, 2026 in the Sheridan Manor Nursing Home. John was born September 29, 1941 in Olcott, the son of Julian and Norma (Dickenson) Lutz and was a life-long resident of this area.

John was a United States Air Force Veteran serving for 6 years as a Security Officer. He worked as a skilled welder at GM Harrison Radiator in Lockport until his retirement. John acted as the Headmaster of the One Room Schoolhouse at the Newfane Apple Blossom Festival and was an avid collector of post cards, paintings, sculptures and had a great eye for unique items. He enjoyed playing cards every weekend and going to breakfast everyday with his friends.

John is survived by his sister: Carolyn (Gary) Alexander of Queensbury, NY as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.

There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend John's Graveside Service with Military Honors on Saturday July 18th at 11am in Corwin Cemetery-Newfane. John's arrangements have been entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home of Gasport.
