Kathy Ann Knapp (Furmanski), age 74, died at home July 2, 2026 following a courageous battle with T-Cell Leukemia. She was born April 30, 1952 in Albion to Chester and Mildred (Murray) Furmanski and had lived in the Albion/Batavia area all of her life.
Kathy loved working in her gardens and tending to the flowers. She enjoyed watching her Soap Operas, and was a die-hard watcher of QVC and HSN. Kathy also enjoyed watching the birds with her husband and daughter in the backyard of her home. Kathy's home was her palace and something she kept immaculately clean and tidy. Mrs. Knapp was predeceased by her brothers: David and Gary Furmanski.
She is survived by her husband John whom she married in 1972, her daughter: Shannon Knapp of Albion, her sister: Susan Dengos of Buffalo, several nieces and nephews and her beloved cockatiel "Buddy".
There will be no calling hours and private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Wilmot Cancer Center, 90 Crittenden Boulevard, Rochester, NY, 14642 Kathy's arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home of Albion.
