Kevin J. Engert

Kevin Jason Engert, 38, of Holley, passed away on October 5, 2026, in hospice care at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.

Born on July 15, 1988, in Erlangen, Germany, Kevin was the beloved son of Petra and Walter Engert Jr. He grew up with a deep love for creating and building, always happiest when working with his hands and bringing complex ideas to life.

Kevin had a gift for humor—he loved making people laugh and could brighten any room with his quick wit and playful spirit. He graduated from Holley Central School and remained closely connected to the community throughout his life.

He is survived by his mother Petra, his father Walter Engert Jr., his son Rayden, his sisters Simone and Janien, his brother David, and his cherished German grandmother (Oma) Waltraud. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold him in their hearts.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no public services. A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held on his birthday, honoring the joy, laughter, and love he shared with everyone who knew him. His arrangements are entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Holley.
