Albion, NY — Levern Austin Jr., age 52, of Albion, New York, peacefully transitioned at Strong Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born to Frances L. Green and Levern Austin Sr., Levern was a man of deep compassion, dedication, and joy. For nine years, he served as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Lifetime Assistance, where his care and commitment greatly impacted the lives of those he supported.
Levern lived life with an enthusiastic spirit. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed working out, and loved spending time at the casino. Above all, Levern’s greatest joy was his family. He cherished their time spent together watching movies, going on vacations, and creating lasting memories. A passionate sports fan, Levern could often be found at the stadium cheering on his favorite team, the Buffalo Bills.
He shared sixteen beautiful, unforgettable years with his devoted wife, Jennifer Daniels. His legacy of love and laughter will live on through his family.
Levern is survived by his wife, Jennifer Daniels; his three beloved children, Brandon Thacker, Jaylen Daniels, and Skye Marie Austin; grandchild, Calab Thacker. He is also survived by his mother, Frances L. Green and his sisters, Theresa Smith, Vanessa (Willie) Kearney, Katrina (Charles) Nesmith, and Gabrielle Joyner; his father- and mother-in-law, Ricky (Melinda) Daniels; and Valerie Daniels (Elwoody Allen) and sister in law; Jessica Daniels, alongside many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Levern Austin Sr., grandmother, Lucy Mae Smith, and his uncle, Earnest Monroe Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 29 East State Street, Albion, NY 14411. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the church. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
