Linda D. King, age 78, died September 9, 2026 in Buffalo General Hospital. She was born on July 30, 1948 in Buffalo to Alvin and Irma (Young) King and had lived and worked in this area all of her life.
Linda spent her entire career as a Speech Therapist with the Cattaraugus Little Valley Central School System and was a Life Member of the NYS PTA. She was a member of the NYS Retired Teachers Association, the Cattaraugus Little Valley Teachers Association, and the NYS United Teachers Association. Linda enjoyed doing word searches, watching I Love Lucy and Hogan's Heroes as well as coin and stamp collecting. She was a person who loved animals and had raised goats, chickens and highland cows and loved beagle dogs. Linda was co-owner of Unique Acres Highland Cattle Farm and a lifetime Buffalo Bills fan. Miss King was predeceased by her brother James Paul King and good friends: Jess and Ruth Brown.
She is survived by a large and loved adopted family to include: Judy(Garner) Light, Pete (Laura Goldy) Brown, Mike (Jim McCool) Brown, Pat (Louis Hicks) Brown, Char, Mitch, Helen, Mark, Sarah, Chris, Kelly, Will, Penelope, Everette, Colter, and Wilder and dear friends: Karen Hudson, Pat Dankert, Bonnie Byren, and Linda Elliot.. She was mother to her beloved beagles: Polly, Molly and Dusty as well as to various chickens and her Pygmy Goats: Lucy and Ethel.
The family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street-Gasport, WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 16th From 12-2 where her Funeral Service will be held at 2pm following visitation. Her burial will be held privately the next day in Otto Historical Museum Cemetery.
