Lyman F Sanford passed away while residing at Genesee Premier Rehab and Nursing home on September 13, 2026.

Lyman was born in Rochester, NY to Frank E Sanford and Madeline Snow Sanford on November 5, 1942.

He married the love of his life, Amy E Smith Sanford on October 4,1962. Together, they had four children.

Lyman was predeceased by two of his sons, Frank E Sanford and Jonathan A Sanford.

He is survived by his youngest son Edward J Sanford, who resides in Florida as well as his only daughter Karen Sanford Soria of Batavia NY.

Lyman had many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed photography and carpentry. His favorite thing to do was to play the organ.

He worked in the maintenance department at Medina Memorial Hospital for over 30 years.

For many years he was active in the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company.

There will be no calling hours. There will be a public grave side service to be held at Mount Albion Cemetery on Deerfield Ave on Thursday, September 24th, 2026 at 11:00am. A short service will be held by Pastor Dan Thurber of The Vine Church, Medina.
