Margaret Joy

(Albion) Margaret Joy passed away peacefully at age 96. She was the daughter of the late Salvatore (Sam) and Mary Vella.

Margaret worked for many years as a laboratory technologist and laboratory manager at the Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital and later at Medina Memorial Hospital where she retired at age 72.

Margaret was a very active member at Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph’s Church where she was involved with Ladies of Charity and Catholic Daughters.

In addition to her parents, Margaret is predeceased by her loving husband,John Joy, daughter, Mary Joy, sister Geraldine(William) Rudes and many other relatives.

Margaret is survived by her children, Phyllis (Kurt) Theodorakos, Janice (Mark) Morano, Sally (Brian – deceased) Baker; grandchildren: Christopher Theodorakos, John Paul (Aline) Theodorakos, Julianne Morano, Theresa Morano, Sarah (Michael) Bagnick, Melanie (Matthew) Zmuda; great grandchildren: Lincoln Bagnick, Vincent Bagnick, Aria Zmuda, Lyla Zmuda.

No calling hours will be observed. There will be a remembrance mass for Margaret on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Parish, West Park Street, Albion, NY followed by a Christian burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, East Avenue, Albion.
