Margaret J. Reynolds

Albion: Margaret J. Reynolds, age 92, passed away in her sleep February 21, 2023. She was born in Rochester, NY on January 24, 1931, a daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Richey) LaPier.  She was raised by Edward and Grace Jones and spent most of her life in Albion.

Margaret enjoyed being outside when she could be in the nice weather either mowing the grass, tending to her chickens or taking care of her garden. She had a passion for taking care of her household cats throughout the years and an occasional dog now and then. She was also known to knit mittens for family and friends of the Community Action in Albion. She also known to pick up spare change whenever she was out grocery shopping, saving it in a change purse and also donate that to the less fortunate. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband James Ethridge Reynolds on May 9, 1977. She is survived by her six children: Melody (Linda Rinas) Reynolds, Randy (Kelly Olin) Reynolds, Monique (Micki) Reynolds, Martha (David) DeShong, Robert (Julie) Reynolds, Maureen (Mo) Reynolds. Her grandchildren: James (Shelley) Robbins, Daniel (Cara) Robbins, Chloe (Gary Reyer) DeShong, Bronte (Rachel Lake) DeShong, Olivia Heck, Ilene (Jonathon) Coe, Alea Reynolds. Her great grandchildren: Renora Robbins, Tripp Robbins, Gabby Robbins, Gibson Robbins, Graham Robbins, Nora Coe and Lylah Coe.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Avenue, Albion on Saturday, February 25 from 12:00 noon to 1 pm where her funeral service will be held right after at 1pm. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
