Marie J. Kempton

(Middleport/Gasport) Marie J. Kempton age 89, passed away August 24, 2023 at Medina Memorial Hospital. She was born October 21, 1933 in Newfane, a daughter of the late Fred and Mabel (Wolfe) Hass.

Marie was a member of the Middleport United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Donald; brother Norman (Joyce) Hass; niece Christine Washak; brothers-in-law Paul (Pat) Kempton, Joe Deptula, Roger MacKay, Gary Gursling.

She is survived by her son Gregory Kempton; grandchildren Gregory (Anna) Kempton, Megan Kempton; great-grandchildren Delaney and Declan Kempton; sister Phyllis (Duane Godfrey) MacKay; sisters-in-law Mary Deptula, Sue Gursling as well as many nieces and nephews.

There are no services. Memorials may be made to Middleport United Methodist Church, 9 Park Ave., Middleport NY 14105. Arrangements were entrusted to Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, Gasport.
