Marilyn Mae Peters

Obituary of Marilyn Mae Peters (AKRON) Marilyn Mae Peters, age 87, died January 17, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family following a short illness. She was born January 22, 1933 in North Tonawanda to Howard and Marion (Kroop) Miller and was a life-long resident of this area. Marilyn was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville and a 4-H Leader for the Tonawanda Torpedoes 4-H Club. By all rights, she would be called a Shepherd as she and her husband raised sheep for most of their lives on the farm. Marilyn also was a musician and was a well-known, well-respected drummer for many local bands. Mrs. Peters was predeceased by her sister Barbara. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Boyd, her sons: Daniel (Betsy) Peters of TX, Gary (Joleen) Peters of Middleport, her sister: Shirley Appleton, her grandchildren: Gary Jr., Brandon, Adam, Allison, and her great grandchildren: Chase, Everett and Weston. There will be no prior calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY, 14227-1480.
