Merle W. Snell

Lockport: Merle W. Snell, age 92, passed away October 3, 2025 at Absolut Care in Gasport. He was born October 20, 1932 in Akron to the late Wilfred and Arletta (Corbett) Snell.

Merle was a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army and receiving the Bronze Service Star. Merle worked for various companies including Niagara Frontier Landscape Co. and Western Block before his retirement. He was a gentleman, friendly and outgoing individual who enjoyed spreading the word of the Lord.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife Doris, and three siblings.

Merle is survived by his children Becky (Bob) Logue, Randy Snell, Tammy (John) Moore, Tina Schotz, Carrie (Wayne) Harris, Holly (Robert) McFarland, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Sandy (Jim) Stewart, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Merle’s life will be announced in the future.

Merle’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home of Gasport, NY.
