Michael R. "Mickey" Taczak, age 82, died July 21, 2026 in Niagara Hospice following a long illness. He was born January 13, 1944 in Niagara Falls to Michael and Stella (Tyran) Taczak and was a life-long resident of this area.
Mickey was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War proudly serving from 1961-1965. He was a jack-of-all-trades and enjoyed remodeling homes and in earlier years, hunting. Mr. Taczak was predeceased by his parents and 2 sisters: Elizabeth Dryden and Barbara Kuklis.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 40 years Cheryl, his children: Kelly (Kathy) Shepard of Middleport, Michelle (Arthur) Nickerson of RI, Nadine Loverdi of RI, 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours and private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Institute, Carlton and Elm Street, Buffalo, NY, 14263. Mickey's arrangements have been entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home of Gasport.
