Mildred Jean Griffin

Obituary of Mildred Jean Griffin (Waterport) Mildred Jean Griffin, age 82, died January 14, 2021 in United Memorial Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born May 13, 1938 in Alabama and had lived in this area for over 60 years. Jean worked as a former CNA at the Orleans County Nursing Home. In addition to being an avid animal lover, she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, canning and sewing. She was always helping someone who was in need whether she knew them or not. Jean spent much of her time in recent years, making lap-robes for the residents in the Orleans County Nursing Home because that’s just the kind of person she was. Mrs. Griffin was predeceased by her husband Fred Griffin and her daughter Lisa. She is survived by her children: Crystal Lewis of FL, Joe (Lorna) Donahue of Philippines, Bambai (Steven) Rocco of Kendall, Jeff Donahue of Waterport, Lisa Griffin of GA, Melea Griffin of Rochester, her brother: Fred Armstrong of SC as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. Jean’s Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
