Ray R. Hartman, age 92, died November 9, 2021 in United Memorial Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born June 22, 1929 in Lancaster, NY to John and Alice (Leutloff) Hartman and had lived in many places around the Country where he was a long-time Minister for the Jehovah Witnesses, spending the last 25+ years in at the Kingdom Hall of Albion. Prior to the Ministry, Ray was an Engineer for the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad. He was an excellent Mechanic and also worked with his brother-in-law as an Apiculturist or Bee Keeper. Ray was a kind, gentle and caring man and will be greatly missed by many in the community. Mr. Hartman was predeceased by his wife Florence, his brother: Jack Hartman, and sisters: Jacqueline (Frederick) Roll, Marlene (Arthur) Gerber. He is survived by his sister: Carolyn (the late William) Haist of Lancaster, sisters-in-law: Evelyn Burch, Lillian Cowham, Clara Kubera, Marian Moore as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Albion Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, 14840 Rt. 31, Albion, NY, 14411.
