Richard H. Applegate

Holley: Richard H. Applegate, age 64, passed away on February 22, 2026, with his family by his side following a long time illness.

He was born August 4, 1961 in Brockport, a son of Wendell and the late Janet (Park) Applegate.

In addition to his mother, Richard was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Mary and Buddy Wood.

Richard is survived by his wife, Wendy (Wheeler) Applegate; sons, Ricky Applegate (Rachel) and Alex Applegate (Juli); grandchildren, Annabel, Olivia and Emilia; father, Wendell; brother, Russell William Applegate (Tammy); nieces, Crystal, Kori and Katie; nephew, Jacob; great nieces and nephews, Jordan, Morgan, Isabella, Gabriel, Michael, Lillian and Maverick; and sister and brother in law Scott and Cheri Mercer.

Arrangements are in the care of Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 W. Ave., Albion, NY.
