Albion

BARRE-Richard “Dick” S. Miller, entered into eternal rest peacefully on June 12th, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

The oldest of three children, Dick was born on October 23, 1952, in Albion, NY to the late Jesse and Mildred (Robertson) Miller. Dick was a graduate of Albion High School, Class of 1970. During his school years, he enjoyed playing baseball, playing the saxophone in the High School Band and Marching Band, and working on the family dairy farm. Farming was a passion for Dick, and he devoted his life to running the family dairy operation after he graduated.

Besides farming, Dick was a man of many talents and hobbies. Dick loved carpentry and working with his hands, always building or fixing the next thing. He also enjoyed playing Euchre, playing golf and going to the stock car races, followed by a good slice of pizza. Dick was always in the mood for a great conversation and enjoyed the company of friends and family. Dick loved to mow grass and was always proud of his perfectly angled stripes. He loved his children unconditionally and adored his grandchildren, often spoiling them with snacks and candy with every visit.

Dick is survived by his children Rebecca Grillo, Paula Miller, Steven (Carla) Miller, Kaitlyn (Philip) Panek and Scott (Megan) Miller; and grandchildren, Anna, Lena, Jaiden, Preston, Grace, Lydia, Hannah, Madelyn, Sadie, & Colson.

Additionally, he is survived by his brothers Alan (Susie) Miller and Kevin (Christine) Miller, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 4:00-7:00PM on Friday, June 20th at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes 21 W. Avenue, Albion, NY. His graveside service and burial will be private for the family.
