Robert W. Baker

(Medina/Albion) Robert W. Baker, age 88, passed away July 6, 2026 at Elderwood at Brockport following a long illness. He was born January 27, 1938, in Albion a son of the late Roy E. and Florence (Button) Baker and had a home in the Albion area for 60 years.

Bob was a proud member of the Laborers' International Union of North America Local #435 of Rochester and after his retirement he worked for the Brockport Central School District, retiring after many years. He was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan and enjoyed hunting. Family was the most important thing to him and he enjoyed attending his children and grandchildren's sporting events and having many family gatherings at his home.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Patricia; brother Roy J.; sister Nancy Baker Earnst.

Bob is survived by his daughter Karen (Tim) Pollard; sons Lance Baker, Eric (Lisa) Baker; grandchildren Emily (Ron) Litz, Katherine (Steve) Szczubelek, Maggie (Matthew) Schreck, Patrick Pollard, Christina (George) Brooks, Branden (Trisha) Baker, Matthew Baker, Elisabeth (Clayton) Goodale; great-grandchildren Everett, Eleanor, Cooper, Charlotte, Ellie, Henry, Katie, Jayde, Cash, Lauren, Olivia, Veronica, Jayce, Kaiden as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Albion, Thursday July 9th 1:00pm-3:00pm where his Funeral Service will follow at 3:00pm. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Boxwood Cemetery in Medina. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for you to visit a loved one in a nursing home.
