Robert "Bob" E. Butler, age 74, died April 18, 2026 in his home following a long illness. He was born March 21 1952 in Wellsville, NY a son of Merle and Marjorie (Gardner) Butler and had lived in this area over 50 years.
Bob was the former owner/operator of Old Timer's Horseradish Company, and had enjoyed golfing in his spare time. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing which was evident by the numerous taxidermy pieces on display throughout his home. Bob was also a devoted family man and loved his grandchildren dearly. Mr. Butler was predeceased by his parents, a sister Betty Ward and a nephew Chuck Ward.
He is survived by his son: John (Kendra) Butler of Kendall, his brother: David Butler of NJ, his grandchildren: Angelic, Cheyanna, John, Alona, 9 great grandchildren, his niece: Marjorie (Mike) Richmond and his nephews: Jake and Lyle Butler.
Family friends are invited to gather for a time of sharing memories and stories on SATURDAY MAY 2 from 12-5pm at Godfrey's Pond, 7925 Bigelo Drive, Bergen, NY, 14416. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Genesee County Fish and Wildlife Association c/o Godfrey's Pond at the address above. Bob's arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home of Holley.
