Russell F. Chase, Jr, 77 of Middleport, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16th, 2026 surrounded by family after years of fighting multiple health issues.
He retired from a career at Harrison Radiator in the 1980’s. Russell was also a self-taught carpenter and during his healthier years spent his free time helping family, friends and members of the community repairing and remodeling their homes. Russell was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed his television shows, movies, and puzzles.
He will be deeply missed by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings.
He is survived by his fiancée, Tammy Kropp and her children, Amanda & Christopher Kropp. His daughters, Tammy Lawson and Tracy Sherwood (Todd), and grandchildren Jeffrey Brigham (Caitlyn), Troy Lawson, Trenton Sherwood, Andrew Sherwood, and great-grand daughters, Kennedy & Sutton Brigham, and Lacey Lawson.
His family will honor his final wishes, and a private, no-service cremation has been arranged. Russell’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home of Middleport.
