Sally A. (Castricone) Conley, 85, of Medina, New York, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026.
Born on January 11, 1941, Sally was the daughter of the late Adeline (Fortuanto) Castricone and Dominic Castricone. She lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. She carried herself with quiet strength and a generous heart, always ready with comforting words, thoughtful advice, and a warm smile.
Sally loved living in the Village of Albion with her family. It was there that she built her home, formed lasting friendships, and created countless cherished memories surrounded by those she loved most.
She had many jobs throughout her lifetime, but the one she loved most was working with children at the Albion Middle School. She found great joy in being around young people, offering them encouragement, patience, and care. Her nurturing spirit and gentle guidance left a lasting impression on many students over the years.
Sally's greatest accomplishment was her family. She was a devoted mother whose pride and joy were her children: Pamela Brannon, Marie Mathes, Fred (Brenda) Conley, Bonnie (Donald Litolff) DeZarn, and Beth (Jerry) Dunn. She was also a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and was blessed with 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, each of whom brought her immense happiness and pride
Sally enjoyed walking, drawing, cooking, and baking. She loved sewing, crocheting, and knitting, often creating handmade gifts that her family will treasure for generations. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and especially loved sharing her homemade meals and baked goods with her family. She loved throwing parties and hosting big family gatherings, bringing everyone together with laughter, food, and love. Her creativity and caring nature were reflected not only in her artwork and needlework, but also in the warmth of her kitchen and home.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Erwin F. Conley; her sister, Marietta Reese; her brother, Ralph Richard Castricone; and her parents.
A private family gathering to celebrate Sally's life will be held in the spring, with burial to follow.
Sally will be remembered for her compassion, steady spirit, and the deep love she shared so freely. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
