Scott Lyle Gaylord

Albion: Scott L. Gaylord, 65, passed away May 9, 2026 at in Strong Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. Scott was born in Brockport February 28, 1961 a son of the late Joyce (George) Bensley and Ross (Jean D’Lallo) Gaylord. Scott was a 31-year member and past commander of Sons of the American Legion through the Sheret Post #35 American Legion. Scott was a carpenter and could build almost anything. He enjoyed camping, bowling, hunting and cookouts with family and friends. Scott was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and also enjoyed yardwork. He was a talented drum player and participated in many local bands.

In addition to his parents, Scott was predeceased by his niece Brianna Gaylord.

Scott is survived by his loving and devoted companion of 30 years, Janet; his daughter Stephanie Hudainski, grandchildren Cora, Ethan, Jules, Lucian Scott Allen; step-children Jamie, Michelle, James and Cassandra; brother Stephen Gaylord and nephew Daniel Gaylord; special friends Sherman, Shirley Smith and family; also survived by many cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Sheret Post #35 American Legion 3429 Gaines Basin Rd. Albion, NY 14411 on Sunday May 17, at 2:00pm followed by a celebration of Scott’s life immediately following the memorial service.

Scott’s arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 21 W. Ave, Albion, NY 14411.
