Shirley A. Ecker

Obituary of Shirley A. Ecker (Greece/Albion/Kendall) Shirley A. (Efing) Ecker, age 91, died January 27, 2021 in Elderwood Village at Greece following a short illness. She was born April 8, 1929 in Rochester to William and Cora (Walker) Efing and had lived in this area most of her life. Shirley was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kendall where she served in the Ladies Aid Group. She was a former Girl Scout Leader for Troops in Monroe and Orleans County. Shirley was a very social person who enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her friends. However, she mostly enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom as her family was of utmost importance to her. Mrs. Ecker was predeceased by her husband: Gerald and her son: William. She is survived by her daughters: Kathy (James) Fries of NC, Bonnie McGrane of Rochester, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Shirley's memorial service will be held Friday, June 25th at 11:00am at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411. Interment will follow in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
