Shirley A. Gould

Kendall: Shirley A. Gould, age 93, passed away May 9, 2026, at Unity Hospital. She was born on January 18, 1933, in Albion to the late Harold and Margaret (Barker) Furness.

Shirley was a longtime member of the Kendall United Methodist Church and enjoyed her weekly Euchre games with friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband John in 2012, daughter Nancy Wright, son Michael Gould, siblings Harold (Shelva) Furness, Jack Furness, Estes Furness, Eleanor Furness, Janet Reis, Bill (Diane) Furness, James (Judy) Furness, brother-in-law James Herring.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Marleen (Rick) Horsey, Sandy (Lynn) Murnan, Debbie (Tommie) Clark, Patty (Chuck) Costanza, 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, siblings, Leroy (Barbara) Furness, Sybil Herring, Barbara (Bill) Schuler, sisters-in-law, Mary and Anita Furness, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Shirley's family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 16650 State Route 31 Holley, NY 14470 on Tuesday May 12th from 4:00-6:30pm. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00am. Interment will be held in Sandy Creek Cemetery in Murray.
