Obituary of Suhr Sr. Batavia-
George E. Suhr, 89, formerly of Barre Center, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital. He was a U.S Army Veteran serving through 3 Wars and also worked at DELCO in Rochester for 30 years until his retirement. George liked hunting , fishing , and tinkering around the house. In his later years, he enjoyed going to Rudy's Restaurant in Medina. He was predeceased by his wife Doris; a daughter Debbie, 2 sisters, and a brother in law. He is survived by 2 children, George (Linda) Suhr Jr., and Terry (Kim) Hellert both of Albion; Grandchildren, Jessica Suhr, Ceara Ryan, Daniel Spriegel; 2 brothers, Fred (Ann) Suhr, Eddie (Mary) Lochner; 1 sister, Thelma Acciari; brother and sister in laws, Velma (Irvin) Banker, Patty (Bill) Wells, Hank (Lois) DePoty; nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 11:00a-1:00pm at the Merrill-Grinnnell Funeral Home, 12 Ingersoll St., where services will be at 1:00pm with Reverend Richard Csizmar officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery will full military honors.
