Sybil I. Brace

Albion: Sybil I. Brace, age 79, passed away August 17, 2026 at Rochester General Hospital. Sybil was born in Batavia, December 1, 1946, a daughter of the late George and Vivian (Youngs) Briggs. Sybil was a former employee of Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital in Albion and Fisher Price in Medina. She loved her animals and listing to a live band and dancing. Sybil will also be remembered for her great sense of humor.

She was predeceased by her son Joseph Button, brother George Briggs and the father of her children, Edward Button.

Sybil is survived by her daughters Mary (Nick Nicolazzo) Heise and Amy Button, grandchildren Ashley Button, Andrew Button, Richard Button, Nicholas Button, Maciel Gomez, Maranda Button, Carmen Gomez, Jared Button and Brendon Burening; several great-grandchildren, niece Sherie Briggs, nephews Darryl (Michele) Briggs and Rusty Briggs.

Sybil's family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes 21 W. Avenue, Albion on Friday September 18, from 11:00-2:00. Services and interment will be private.
