(Holley) Theodore M. “Ted” Jenney age 100, passed away November 5, 2025, at Highland Hospital after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Ted was born October 22, 1925, in Canton, OH, a son of the late Theodore and Doris (Archer) Jenney and had lived in this area for the past 46 years.
Ted served in the US Navy during WWII as a Navigator in the Pacific Theater. He received his Chemical Engineering degree from The Ohio State University and was an entrepreneur of several companies. In his retirement, Ted established Kateland Farm where he raised, trained and bred miniature horses. He mentored cart reinsmanship skills and promoted the miniature horse breed across the country. Ted was a notably generous man and was instrumental in establishing local scholarships for Holley School District and assisted in the construction of Holley’s soccer fields. He was a member of the Holley Rotary. Ted was a skilled wood carver, avid outdoorsman and duck hunter. Known for his sense of humor throughout his long life, friends and family have volumes of treasured stories to share.
In addition to his parents, Ted was predeceased by his wife Joy; brothers Bill and Jack.
Ted is survived by his 2nd wife Mary Dale; children Kathy (Dave) Kline, Clifton (Randi) Jenney, Linda (John Bolzenius) Langhorst; step-children Jean Marie (Reynold) Klatt, James (Marge) Dale, Michael (Cindy) Dale; grandchildren Jennifer (Mark) Hegreness, Amanda (Dave) Dickey, Michelle (Matthew Gervais) Kline, Michael (Brooke Jenkins) Kline, Jessica Jenney, Nicole (Katie Hanes) Jenney, Kirk (Raychel Hallarn) Langhorst, Matt (Rachel Krajewski) Langhorst, Ted (Sally Moore) Langhorst, Louisa Bolzenius, Ceci Bolzenius; a multitude of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, 16650 State Route 31 Holley, Saturday November 15th 9:00am-11:00am, where his Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00am. Burial with Military Honors in Mt. Albion Cemetery to follow the service. Ted was passionate about educational opportunities.
